An habitat is a place or environment that supports the well-being and survival of its inhabitant. It is a dwelling place, a home and a house for a being or a thing.

God is omnipresent, is in every place, but is not manifesting His presence everywhere.

Jeremiah 23:23-24 [23]Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? [24]Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. DO NOT I FILL HEAVEN AND EARTH ? saith the LORD.

These verses show us that God is close to us and God is in places we consider to be far away from us. Wherever we go, close or far, God is there. Another thing we learn is that God's presence fills the heaven and the earth.

Further more, the fact that God's presence fills the heaven and the earth and is in everywhere does not necessarily manifest everywhere. God has chosen places where His presence dwells and manifests.

GOD WELLS IN HEAVEN.

Deuteronomy 26:15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven.....

2 Chronicles 6:21 ....... hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven.....

The heaven is the natural habitat of God.

GOD DWELLS IN ZION : THE ASSEMBLY OF HIS PEOPLE(THE REDEEMED) .

Psalms 74:2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, WHEREIN THOU HAST DWELT

Psalms 76:2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and HIS DWELLING PLACE IN ZION .

Psalms 132:13
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

Zion is the assembly or congregation of men and women redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. God dwells collectively/corporately in His people.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

God is always in the assembly of His people. He is collectively at home in them.

GOD DWELLS IN MEN INDIVIDUALLY.

1 Corinthians 6:19
[19]What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE THAT IS IN YOU , than he that is in the world.

God is dwelling in the redeemed individually by His Holy Spirit.
We are the habitations of God individually and collectively in the earth.

God dwells in the heavens of heaven but exercises dominion on the earth through men.

Psalms 115:16
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

The works of God on the earth are done through men that God has placed on the earth.

Revelation 21:3
[3]And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD IS WITH MEN, AND HE WILL DWELL WITH THEM , and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Man is God's primary agent of God's work on earth. He dwells in men, walks in men and works through men.

GOD DWELLS IN PRAISES.

As learnt earlier that God is in everywhere but not manifesting His presence everywhere, it is pertinent to mention that God will not only manifests but also choose to dwell in an atmosphere of praise. Wherever and whenever God is praised, God dwells and manifests.

GOD DWELLS IN HEAVEN AND IS PRAISED IN HEAVEN.

Revelation 4:2,4,8-10

[2]And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, A THRONE WAS SET IN HEAVEN, and one sat on the throne.

[4]And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

[8]And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and THEY REST NOT DAY AND NIGHT, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

[9]And when those beasts GIVE GLORY AND HONOUR AND THANKS TO HIM that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

[10]The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and WORSHIP HIM THAT LIVETH FOR EVER AND EVER, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

The throne of God in heaven is surrounded with living creatures and beings worshipping, praising, honouring and glorifying God day and night without ceasing.

Imumerable company of men (multitudes) also surround the throne of God in heaven for endless praises and worship.

Revelation 7:9-10

[9]After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

[10]And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

GOD DWELL IN ZION THROUGH PRAISE.

Psalms 65:1
Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

Psalms 102:21
To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

Psalms 9:14
That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

One of God's habitat of praise is Zion: the congregation / assembly of His redeemed.

Psalms 22:3
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

When God's people praise Him, He inhabits their praises. The generation of those who seek and see God are those who praise Him.

God's HABITAT IS IN THE PRAISES OF INDIVIDUALS.

Psalms 18:3
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

"I WILL" is a personal affirmation. According to the scripture above, it is calling upon the Lord and counting Him worthy of praise that brings about God showing up for salvation from the enemies.

Exodus 15:1-2

[1]Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I WILL SING unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
[2]The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I WILL prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I WILL exalt him.

"I WILL" occur three times. It is a personal decision.

When God is the song that we sing, individually He becomes our salvation. God dwells with and shows up for individuals who sings His praises continually.

Psalms 34:1
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Wherever God chooses to dwell, He has commanded sacrifices and offerings.

1 Samuel 2:29

[29]Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation......

The habitation of God demands sacrifices and offerings. We offer our bodies to God as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto Him (Romans 12:1).This is how our bodies become the temple of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19

[19]What? know ye not that YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Our bodies and spirits are to glorify God.

1 Corinthians 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

One of the ways we glorify God with our bodies are when they become instruments of praise and worship to God.

Psalms 50:23
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Praise is an offering ordained to be offered to God in God's holy temple, our bodies.

One of the sacrifices expected to go to God is the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving

Hebrews 13:15

[15]By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

We are meant to be God's habitat of praise by ensuring that praise worship goes to God continually and at all times through our lips.

WHY YIELD OURSELVES TO GOD AS HIS PRAISE HABITAT?

(1) We are ordained to show forth His praises (Isa 43:21;1Cor 10:32; 1Pet 2:9)

(2) We owe our living to praising God. We live by praising God (Isa 38:19; Ps 104:33;Ps 118:17; Ps 146:2)

(3) Praises are our acts of spiritual sacrifices to God (Ps 27:6; ; Ps 54:6; Ps 107:22; Ps 116:17)

In conclusion, as we live in the consciousness of the truth that we have been redeemed to become living sacrifices to God through praise, we become the habitation of God and the people through whom He manifests His glory. May we obtain grace to build God an habitation in our lives through praise. We obtain the garment of praise by the Spirit of the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

......

GLORIOUS CONFESSION :

I belong to God. I am the temple of the living God. God dwells in me by His Spirit. I glorify God in my Spirit and in my body which are God's.. I am the habitation of God as I offer the sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving to God continually. I am God's altar of sacrifices of praise and Thanksgiving. I am a living sacrifice of the living God by continual praises and thanksgiving. Hallelujah
